Job Purpose

The role will be assisting with frontend website builds, implementing new frontend and backend features, and working to ensure that the features implemented are to the client’s requirements. The role will be taking direction from senior developers and assisting with all aspects of frontend website development and backend development.

Main Responsibilities

• Assisting the web development team with all aspects of frontend and backend development.
• Assisting with the testing and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
• Brainstorming new tech applications such as digital storage and mobile technology.
• Collaborating with developers to implement new features.
• Keeping up to date with the latest technology and programming trends.
• Converting graphical design components into compatible formats for the web.
• Using user feedback to identify and correct problems with a client's website.

• Estimate development time accurately and set customer expectations.

• To interact with customers effectively via email, MS Teams calls and face-to-face meetings.

Essential

• At least 2 years' working experience as a junior web developer.
• Experience working with coding languages such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, JSON, Ajax and PHP.
• Experience with frameworks such as Tailwind, VueJS, Nuxt, Laravel.
• Good planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• A portfolio of web projects you have worked on.
• Critical-thinking skills.
• Keen eye for clean UI/UX.
• Flexibility in the workplace.
• Goal-orientated and deadline-driven.
• Ability to able to work well under pressure in a highly technical environment.
• Ability to commute to Wakefield (WF5 9TJ).

Desirable

• Experience in working with headless CMS’ and CRM systems.
• Experience working with third party API integrations such as Sage Pay, Stripe.
